I don't drink a lot of coffee but I like to have a strong cup with lots of additives (syrup, creamer, whatever I have). What type of coffee maker would be best for me?

What is a good espresso or coffee machine to buy?

I like Cafe Bustelo and other Latin coffees, and I also tend to like heartier European coffees. I need something that can make good coffee, even if i only want one cup at a time (I live alone). And I'd prefer to spend less than a couple hundred dollars.

What exactly defines a “cup” of coffee? The amount of ground coffee or the amount of water used to brew?

I enjoy three to four cups of coffee throughout the morning but I have wondered if my "cups" of coffee are equivalent to whatever is the standard in research. I usually measure three or four cups of ground coffee into my drip coffee maker then add six cups of water to run through it to [...]
